Making your child write a book review is an excellent exercise in measuring your child's reading comprehension. It allows them to pay closer attention to the different parts and aspects of a story and formulate their own commentary of the book. In doing so, they are made to analyze, evaluate and comment on the contents of the book.

1. Book Title
2. Author of the book
3. Distinguishing whether a book is Fiction or Non-Fiction.
4. Rating the book:
5 Stars: I loved it (I would recommend it ), 4 Stars: I like it (It's worth reading), 3 Stars: It's okay (I would read it once), 2 Stars: It's not that good (I don't like some parts), 1 Star: It was bad (I won't recommend it to anyone).
5. Setting (when and where does it take place?).
6. Characters: Protagonist/Antagonist?
7. Plot (What is the main conflict/problem in the story?)
8. Summary
9. Opinion/Analysis (Tell us what you think about the story?)
10. What's your favorite part of the story?
